DEMOLITION EXHIBITION, JERSEY CITY (2014-2015)

In the heart of Downtown Jersey City, Green Villain was granted access to paint the rear side of Pep Boys from 2014-2015. The leasehold was purchased by Forest City in order to make way for a 2 decade redevelopment which will bring 10 towers to the 14 acre parcel. Partnering with Green Villain, Forest City gave them access to create a large scale exhibition inside of the building before it’s demolished. The gallery was open to the public from June 27 - July 5 andfeatured artists from all around New Jersey, New York and the world—4,000 people attended. Google Cultural Institute used Trekker technology to create a Streetview-esque experience available online for generations to come.
